Tasty Tempura Crispy Prawns – Gluten-Free

Who doesn’t love a crispy tempura batter prawn?

It’s a winner every time!

Ingredients:

12 large Prawns, peeled and deveined

Canola oil for frying

½ cup FOGDOG Gluten Free Tasty Tempura Batter

½ cup ice cold Water

Instructions:

INSTRUCTIONS 

Peel and de-vein the prawns. Make shallow cuts through to make sure they won’t curl up when frying. Dry them well with paper towel, and refrigerate until needed. 

Heat oil in a deep pan to 180°C 

Combine the FOGDOG Gluten Free Tasty Tempura Batter and ice cold water in a bowl and whisk to a runny cream.  

Coat the prawns in batter one by one and drop them gently into the hot oil individually so they don’t stick together. Fry for approximately 3 minutes until pale golden and crisp.  

Remove and allow the oil to drain on a wire rack for the best crunch! 

Serve with your favourite dipping sauce!
